We look at Keyhealth’s different plans, bearing in mind that they have recently added another plan – Origin – to their existing list of plans. 

• Essence is a hospital plan and is suitable for healthy, young  individuals. It offers unlimited cover in hospital at a network of hospitals. Costs related to treatment at Netcare or Life Healthcare hospital are paid in full. There is no restriction on the number of admissions to hospital. Specialist bills in hospital are paid at 100%. There will be a list of in-hospital exclusions, and this includes dentistry. This hospital plan also offers cover for maternity.
• Equilibrium is a plan for individuals and young families, offering unlimited cover in hospital from their hospital network.  Like the Essence plan, specialist bills while in hospital will be paid at 100%. There’ll be co-payments applied to some procedures. Take note that there are some in-hospital exclusions that apply to this option.
• Origin is a good choice for individuals and young families. The plan comes with unlimited cover in hospital from network hospitals. In-hospital specialist bills are paid at 100 percent. Some procedures will require a co-payment. Claims made day  to day are paid from a benefit pool. There are some in-hospital exclusions
• Silver plan is also suited for individuals and young families. Specialist bills in hospital will be paid at 100% and the plan offers  hospital cover through network hospitals. Co-payments are applied to some procedures. There are also some in-hospital exclusions.
• Gold option is also suited to individuals and young families. You get unlimited hospital cover through a network of hospitals. As with the other plans, your specialist bills are paid at 100 percent. Co-payments are applied to some procedures and day to day claims are paid from savings and benefit pool.
• Platinum is a plan suited for individuals who like the idea of extensive medical cover. The plan offers unlimited hospital cover through network hospitals. In-hospital bills for specialists are paid at 100%. There are co-payments for certain procedures. Day to day claims are paid from a risk-benefit.
