Why Opt for Hospital Plans?
Not everybody can afford comprehensive medical cover that will make provision for visits to the GP, the dentist, and the optometrist. However, everybody dreads the possibility of an accident or other medical emergency that requires hospital treatment. Private hospitals are very expensive, and many procedures and specialist services are simply beyond the means of the average South African. That is where hospital cover can save the day. Members can rest assured that they will receive top of the range care when they face hospitalization without having to worry about the cost of the treatment. Clientele has gone to great lengths to design products that will fulfill the needs of their members.
What Plans do Clientel Offer?
Clientele is of the opinion that less is often more. They, therefore, offer only two plans in this range, arguing that numerous plans simply confuse consumers and that it complicates the management of the plans, makes claims difficult to process, and frustrates members. Their plans are straightforward, and the benefits, terms, and conditions are clearly specified. They have two to choose from:
1. The Standard Clientele Life Plan. Astonishingly, members can join this plan for a monthly premium of as low as one hundred rand, surely making it one of the most affordable plans in the country! Simply put: the plan pays members a cash amount of up to three thousand rand for each day they spend in the hospital. However, benefits only kick in after the third day. What the member does with the cash is irrelevant to Clientele Hospital Plan. He may choose to pay his medical bills but is not obliged to use the money for that purpose. Members will even receive a cash bonus if they make no claims over a five-year period. The plan makes provision for pre-existing conditions, but it does not cover HIV/AIDS-related illnesses. It does include maternity benefits, however.
2. The Premium Clientele Life Plan. As with the Standard plan, members are paid a cash amount for each day in the hospital, but one from day four onwards. In this case, the payment can be as high as five thousand rand per day. This plan also includes cover for the treatment of dread diseases and even for accidental death. HIV/AIDS-related illnesses are covered but only if they are contracted after the cover has been active for some time. Members are paid a no-claim bonus after sixty months.
The Clientele hospital plan is just one of the many innovative plans offered by this financial giant. The company is committed to providing all South Africans with affordable health cover options, and their customer satisfaction rate certainly says that they are doing it right. © Medical Aid Plan
