Oneplan health plan benefits
This plan covers you for casualty or outpatient treatment of various forms. Basically treatment that doesn’t necessitate an overnight stay in hospital.
This includes emergency treatment of any kind. You will also be covered for treatment that does require hospitalization.
- Visits to your GP or specialist
- Tests and procedures up to the limits of your cover.
- Medicines prescribed by your doctor
- Medications for chronic conditions
- Flu vaccination shots
- Immunization shots for children
- Scans such as x-rays, MRIs, CTs, ultrasounds and mammograms
- Readmission to hospital for treatment less than six months after your initial admission.
- Accidents that result in the insured becoming permanently disabled or you being unable to use your limbs.
Dental care
Your plan will cover you for various kinds of dental treatment including fillings, extractions, root canals, and dentures. If your treatment necessitates an x-ray and this is done in the dentist’s clinic, this will be covered by your Oneplan health plan as well. However, non-essential procedures like putting in gold inlays or gum guards will not be covered by the plan – you will have to cater for these out of pocket.
Maternal care
This plan cares for most of the medical expenses related to childbirth. It will cover procedures both before and during the birth of your child. Among the childbirth-related items taken care of by the Oneplan health plan are: gynecologist or midwife consultation visits, sonar scans during these visits in the gynecologist’s clinic. The delivery procedure itself will be covered even if it takes place at home with a midwife. If delivery requires a Caesarean section, this will also be catered for.
